96 Trooper Timing Belt Change
I am having trouble with my timing belt change, Im very green when it comes to car repairs, and very broke, so I decided to change my own timing belt. I am now lost. I have everything taken off except the tensioner, how do you align the cam shaft and crankshaft so that I don't destroy the engine. Do you guys have any PDF's that could help me with this process. thanks.
judging by the post date, im probably wasting my time...But, Id say that if your belt broke, your engine is already ruined. If you are replacing the belt as a preventative measure... just take the belt off and put the new one on without moving anything. Also, get a manual. I think Chilton is the only one who makes one besides factory manuals...
