Hey guys so i have a 95 Trooper LS 3.2l, and yesterday it wouldnt start, didnt even turn over, it clicked, then when i let go of the ignition it clicked again, so im 95% sure its the starter, battery tested fine, and we were able to roll start it, ive noticed for awhile there has been a grinding sound like there wasnt enough oil getting to the lifters but it went away after a min, and have been getting really bad gas milleage lately, and read that if a starter goes and it stays stuck on the flywheel it can cause decreased gas milleage. So i bought a new starter and this morning i went to replace it, im really not trying to take the exhaust down and have read its dueable but takes some snaking to do, i got the two mounting bolts out but cant pull the starter out of the housing, i pulled and pulled its not hitting on anything on the engine or wires is there a plate to hold it in or a special way to pull it out. i need some help.
