88 trooper won’t idle?

2.6L won't idle properly, donesome of thecheap stuff, which, by the way, all accumulated is not that cheap. fuel filter , cap and rotor, plugs and wires. Have "modified" thecat converter. Ya know, made it "flow" better.any pointers in the right direction would be appreciated, thanks

My guess is that at least 50% of the time the 4ZE1 won't idle properly is because of a loose/missing/leaking vacuum line.....any of the many. good luck

I agree with glennb, check all the vacuum lines to make sure there are no craked hose ends , missing, or loose hoses. That was the problem on my trooper. Some of the hoses dry out and become stiff letting some air through and need replacing.
