2001 Trooper Replacing turn signal
Hello,
I got my 2001 Trooper when it was brand new, this is the first time I have to replace the turn signal.
Normally my husband would have replaced it, sadly he recently passed away. Can anyone tell me the best way to remove the old light? And most importantly how the heck do you get it out?
Thanks for your help in advance.

if you are just replacing the bulb, you still have to remove the light assembly. It is held to the upper radiator cradle by one screw. once you remove the screw you will have to get a nice firm grip on it, its a bit tricky to come out. If i remember correctly, you need to pull straight out with the light and it should pop out. then you should be able to get to the bulb. Just reverse the whole ordeal to put everything back.
if i get time this weekend ill take some pictures of my moms trooper light. She has a 1998 Trooper and the lights are the same.

REMOVAL
- Disconnect the battery ground cable.
- Remove the screw at the upper portion of the light bracket, and remove the bracket from the fender.
- Remove the front combination light (1).
- Remove the turn signal light socket (3) by turning it counterclockwise.
- Remove the bulb (2) by turning it counterclockwise while pushing it at the same time.
To install, follow the removal steps in the reverse order.
