1996 3.2 gas trooper wont start easily
Went on a 400 miles road trip. Trooper made it all the way there no sweat. The next day I went out to start it and It took me pumping the gas to get it going. Now the only way I can get it started is to push the pedal to the floor and hold it there until it starts. It will die after I let of the gas but I can keep it going if I goose the throttle for a few seconds. Thing is, after i get it started it will idle rough for about 5 to 10 seconds then just purr like a happy kitten. It drives just fine. No popping or stuttering. Still has plenty of get up and go. I dont get it.
replaced plugs
ran a bottle of lucas through with a tank of premium followed by another bottle of lucas
replaced fuel filter
replaced idle air control
replaced throttle position sensor
Im handy with a wrench and Id rather get a prostate exam from Brock Lesnar than take it to a dealer but Im at a loss here
