1988 izuzu trooper

Need help troubleshooting. I can get trooper to start but as soon as i give it any gas it kills the engine anybody familiar with this problem im stumped

Possibly a clogged fuel strainer, filter, or pump. I had a similar issue and needed to replace the strainer. Check out planetisuzoo for a very active Isuzu forum.
