my girlfriend has an 02 isuzu trooper. she bought it with 44 k miles, it has about 50 k now. when she first got it she was getting about 430 miles out of a full tank, including the res tank. she is now getting about 230 miles out of a full tank. i have been told that it was the oxygen sensor. has anyone had this problem b4 or have any suggestions on what to do. also, anyone else with the similar trooper. what king of fuel eco are you getting.

First things first. Basic mant. is required here, there is no telling how long it has been sens it was tuned up before she bought it. Change the spark plugs, that can make a huge improvement. Change the air filter. A bad Oxygen sensor can ruin your miles per gallon, start with the easy first and than change the sensor if you dont see an improvement on the first tank of gas.
