Tf rodeo eng swap
Hi all,
I have a `95 TF rodeo 2 door cab chassis 2.6...... 2 wheel drive efi auto. I bought it with a noisy big end.
I located and bought a `95 4x4 / 4 door ute with a very good 2.6 efi engine - but a manual trans.
I just wanted it for the motor.
I sold the ute to someone who just wanted the shell and g/box, so we stripped the front off and pulled
the eng out ez.leaving trans etc in situ.
Now I`m about ready to do the swap over, I am aware or the differences between engines such as the sumps are different,
the flywheel / clutch assy vs flex plate etc. Thats not a prob, just a bit of mucking around.
I have the eng from the 4x4 on an eng stand and when i pull the other one out It will be beside it on another stand.
My question is, whats the easiest way to do this?
should i pull the 2x4 eng out with or with the trans att?
Or just pull the motor out by itself?
thanks.
