spare tire carrier

Default spare tire carrier

have a 96 rodeo does anybody know how to access the nuts from the spare tire carrier? cant find a way to access them to take the thing off.

lol my previous owner just ripped it off

probably the same problem with this haha.


There's gotta be a way.

i here you the previous owner of mine torched behind the tail lights to try to get to them but they failed LOL

ha, i also own a jeep...they use lots of torx (nighmare)
the easiest way i've found to get them out is to drill 'em with good sharp drillbits...use a small bit and drill all the way through then step up until the head falls off and the rest of it'll come right out (or drop in)...i've found that if you run a tap back through it you can put some bolts back in to plug the holes...use some coolant and plan on 10 minutes per hole

I really appreciate the way people are using the forum to communicate and help each other. Thanks to the person who give this idea to the world and made the world ti tie in a single knot. But i don't think anybody would like to give it to you as they have to use that. But hope for the best.

nope, i'm confused too...he's a new member, i have checked all of his posts, 3 of his 5 posts are identical to this...his way of agreeing perhaps.

My dad works everything on my auto.He maintain and repair if there's any error to correct.I agree,i'm sure there's a way.We might not know it for now but i will keep on searching for answers.
