I want to remove the spare tire on the back of my trooper. Have any of you done this? I think the car would look alot better withoutthe tirebut I don't want that random piece of metel sticking out. Is there any way to remove that as well?


any advice (or a link to a how-to website) is appreciated!

Removing the tire/wheel is easy, just remove the lug bolts. A couple years ago i tried to remove the carrier, but i gave up after about 15 min of trying to get a socket to fit.


I agree that the truck would probably look good w/o the tire on the back door, but it is extremely useful, especially if you have a blowout!


You could lift the truck, and put some big off-road tires all the way around, including the spare! That will solve your appearance issue.
