Rodeo VS Trooper
#1
Hi,
We're looking for a first car for my wife---some type of SUV probably.
I've got an Isuzu Pup that is a superb and rugged vehicle so I am well
disposed toward Isuzu products-----
Anybody have an opinion as to which might make a better all round car
for a gal who will not likely drive off-road but once in a blue moon?
Which gets better gas mileage? Is more dependable? etc.
Thanks,
JB in SC

Rodeo and trooper are pretty much the same mechanically. They have differences but are very comparable mechanically and as far as reliability. Some prefer the looks of one over the other and some prefer the size of one over the other (trooper is a bit bigger). They weigh about the same and get about the same gas mileage. Which isnt great but these are heavy truck based SUVs with full frames. In summer I get about 16-17 mpg driving to work and back (6 miles of city driving). Best I've gotten was all highway from Denver to Moab (through rocky mountains) last year and got 21 mpg.
