does any one know anything about or have strange engine noise while accelerating?


sounds as though it is out of time, however it has passed smog testing the last 2 time for registration?


any one know about "piston slap?" and what it is? the dealer said that it was not a bent rod.


lower bearing noise? does it go away after warm up?


please advise, with any help.

Had noises when accelerating- turned out to be simple exhaust system leak, even though passed smog fine. It was the 'doughnut' ring connection on the exhaust system. Simple and inexpensive and not dangerous mechanically. Hope this helps[img]smileys/smiley10.gif[/img]
