Default removing intake manifold to clean EGR

I'm new to the forum and would greatly appreciate some advice. I've begun to remove the upper intake manifold on my wife's 1999 rodeo 3.2 to clean the clogged EGR route. My problem is I'm unable to figure out how to remove the small levers at the rear of IM to be able to lift it off.. Any suggestions GREATLY appreciated.

P.S. those locking injector connectors are a bear to pull..ugh

Mission accomplished!!!!!!
Repair shop wanted $900 to clean out EGR. Wasn't easy but after carb cleaner & new gaskets I saved $850.
