I have been fighting the ABS light on a 98 Rodeo for the past week. I had it checked out, and the code said rear speed sensor short. I replaced the Rear Speed Sensor, but no luck. I checked the led going to the sensor and got 0 volts. I then checked both front sensors and they were reading 14 volts.

Has anyone experienced this or ever gone through troubleshooting the wiring diagram? I'm about to remove the bulb in the dash and call it quits.

It was the wiring. I traced the wires back to the connection where the harness goes thru the floor board. I ran a new wire and BOOM - ABS light went out once I got up to about 15 MPH.

NO. Somewhere between the plug at the sensotr and the plug that is under the drivers setat there was a break in the wire.
