I've been trying, unsuccessfully,to program areplacement keyless remote for my 2000 Rodeo. I've followed the included instructions and gotten the locks tocycle(lock/unlock) which means it's in program mode.I immediatelytriedusing the remote, nothing. I tried several more times and nowthe car won't go into program mode. Did I mess up, or do I have a bad remote? TIA.

Please try
changing a battery. This usually helps.

If you changed
