i have a 96 rodeo and the power steering pump is bad instead of replacing i just replace the fluid because it leaks what would happen i i stopped adding fluid

 

If you stop adding fluid your steering wheel would lock up, i suggest you don't even attempt to keep adding replace the steering pump and live in piece.

 

It will get harder and harder to turn, and if the pump is leaking it is still pumping, it will burn up the pump forcing you to replace it. Find the leak and patch it or replace the hose or pump, those are you only options, to stop adding fluid will not help you at all it will just force you to fix it.[img]smileys/smiley11.gif[/img]
