I have a 1998 Isuzu Rodeo 2.2L 4cylinder and it is not firing. This has happened when my timing pulley idler came off while driving. I replaced both pulley idler and timing belt. Could anyone please help with this issue. Edited by: pollo

if your timing belt pully came off while driving, every valve in the clyinder head is now bent.those are interference engines.the head needs to be removed an new valves installed, thats the least thats wrong.hopefully they didnt bend so bad they didnt damage the pistons or the head itself.it will not start because no spark, you now dont have any compression do to valve damage

oh no more thing you might find uplifting...isuzu has a recall on timing belts breaking.take it to the dealer an have them check for recalls if yours hasnt been done, they will warrenty you another engine.ALL RECALLS MUST BE DONE.they will warrenty the damage.dont tell them the pulley came off.that sounds suspecious.just say the belt broke on you while driving .if you want e-mail me your vin number an i can check it for recalls for you,i work at a dealership anyway.i have access for doing that.
