I've got a '99 Rodeo with only 225,000 miles on it. Yes it has been a great SUV for me. Still the original transmission/engine/pretty much everything. Today, on the way home, I went to put on the brakes and they began to feel a little spongy. By the time I got home, I was putting the pedal all the way to the floor. Checked the fluid and it is not low. I have noticed over the last couple weeks that sometimes when I step on the brake, it's like the power assist is over 'assisting' and I just have to barely touch the brakes to stop. At other times, the pedal would travel half way down but I always had brakes. Today, right to the floor every time.I'm thinking a new Master Cylinder?
