I have a misfire in cilinder 4. When I pull the hardness to thefuel injector4 there is no change. When I do the same for any of theotherthere is a rpm drop. The computer tells me there is a misfire there along with high rpm in the idle control system. The injector is new and the ignition coil is good. What elsecan it be?

I NEED HELP!

i,m not sure what engine you have, but if its the v6,try swaping coil packs with cylinder 2 an see if the misfire moves.if it does you have a bad coil.still refering to the v6,also try swaping plugs with another cylinder an see if it moves.if it does you just have a bad plug.if you have the 4clyinder.......check the wires....an be sure to check the plug for wettness...4clys blow head gaskets easy an it always the number 4 clinder usaully.an last but not least for the v6 engine.check compression not often, but the v6 models can burn a valve, which will give you low compression.97 an below models proably just a good tune-up will solve your problem....hope this helps good luck
