Default Keep Rodeo?

I own a 1996 Isuzu Rodeo LS with 139K. It's really showing its age with the faded paint and with some small dings and dents. It has been a great SUV and has never given me any major problems. As with the first day I bought it, I still love this car but it looks old due to wear. The only vehicle I would consider buying which I like would be a 2014-15 4runner but that's going to be 33K out the door.

My question is this, I am thinking about restoring this SUV with a new coat of paint and would like to know what else I should replace to make it new. Engine, suspension, belts, etc? What would this entail and is it worth doing to make it go another 150k miles.

If you could afford it, it's more practical to just purchase a new car instead of restoring your old ride. It might cost you a lot of money.
