i have a 2001 isuzu rodeo which the transmission is bad i got a transmission from a older year rodeo the only difference i see is that the front part of the transmission where it screws up to the engine is different but the remaining part of the transmission look the same all sensors are same is it possible to remove front plate that screws to the engine and put the front section of my 2001 transmission and will that work

 

the trans from 93 and up have the same bolt pattern if it is diff you have got the wrong trans there was a change in the electrical connections from 99 to 2000 and the 99 will not work in the 2000 nor the other way Is your vehicle a 4 cylinder, or a 6?
