''98 Rodeo 3.2 V6 - if one has removed the timing belt and has miss aligned it in installation can the engine be started and could valves be damaged? We are still trying to get My Son''s Rodeo running right. It is still throughing the CEL with code cylinders missfiring.

Idea''s, suggestions?

Thanks,

Rich

Timing them can be a pain. Check the info from Jerry (jlemond) in THIS POST. Look for the all caps posts. Should help you get it timed right.

The 3.2 DOHC is a non interferance fit engine. But I wouldnt run it until you get the timing right.
