I am new to the forum and dont really know how to work it so ill get it soon. I have a 1995 rodeo 3.2 5 speed 4x4 that i rolled 3 times last night. It is really sturdy and it saved my lifedue to that I spent some time asking around and found another oneit is a 1997 rodeo 3.2 4x4 auto. It has appx 152000 miles and runsawsome with no valve tap at all or leaks of any kind.i will test drive tomorow Lord willing. I need any suggestions that can be offered on the 1997 such as what problems they have, year specific, and if they are any different from the 1995. The guy wants 3000 cashfor it and it has very little rust and you have to really look for it.I just need suggestions and i have a bunch of parts now for another rodeo if any one is in this area.

First, glad you are ok. Its amazing how well isuzus hold up if they are rolled.

The ''97 has a slightly different engine which produces 15 more hp. The interior is different, I beleive it has the longer front control arms that the ''98+ has (smoother ride). Other then those things they are pretty much the same with the same common problems (transmission and valve tick). If the trans was well taken care of, keep up the maintenance on it and it should be no problem. The just dont like to be neglected. Never have a flush done on the trans, that tends to clog the tiny passages and kills them.

Check out planetisuzoo.com or the rodeo section of automotiveforums.com and talk to Ramblin Fever. He has a ''97 that he bought new. It has 186k miles with the original auto transmission.

Thanks alot and i appologize for the slow reply. I ended up not getting that 97'' rodeo because of how pushy the guy was. He told me that if i did not have the money at the moment then i shouldnt even consider buying it and then he gave me a time limit on how much longer he would allow me to have to buy it. This was a dealer not a private seller btw.Oh, my 95'' rodeo nor the 97'' had valve tap. My 95'' had only 116000 miles and the 97'' have 157000 appx.
