//--></>i have a little problem with my idle. it has been creeping higher and higher for the last week or so. from reading on here i think it may be a vacume leek. how do i finde where it is thow the engine sounds like a pig geting it guts ripped out. the air filter is loud and i can hardly hear over the 2 1/2 rpm idle any way. and it will idle at about 1 rpm in drive or reverse


so is ther any kind of stupid proof way that i can use and if so please explane it to me i am prity slow[img]smileys/smiley5.gif[/img] thanks a lot guys

It could be a broken intake manifold gasket. I'm not sure if that would cause it to idle high, but I know '99s are prone to the gaskets (actually its plastic) breaking.


You can try spraying areas you suspect of having a leak with carb cleaner or wd-40. If there is a leak you should hear the idle change.
