Greetings all, I lost the oil filler cap (yes, dumb move) for my 01 Rodeo Sport 2.2L. I have since found out that the part has been discontinued by the manufacturer, and I have been unsuccessful in locating one anywhere in Ga thus far, nor can I seem to find a uni that fits well enough to make a seal. Does anyone have any thoughts/suggestions on what I could use or how to get an oem part new/used?

i used a exspanding plug that was for a boat hull when i lost mine . worked good tell i found one at a recking yard

 

Thanks! I've found a rubber freeze plug that seems like it will work fine as a temp solution. Now just gotta find that part...

 

Just thought I'd post my findings for anyone else that might be in need. Lots of research later, I found that through a partnership agreement that GM built the 2.2L X22 for Isuzu and for Daewoo. I was able to locate an oil filler cap for the Daewoo motor at my local auto parts and it fits like a glove.
