Default hatch wiper inop

So I just bought a 2002 Rodeo for my daughter. I've had to fix a few things but this has me stumped. The hatchback wiper doesn't work. The fuse is good. The wiper fluid works fine. I figured it was the wiper motor and put a new one in today and it STILL doesn't work! Any ideas???

I had the same problem with my 2000 rodeo. Oddly, it was fixed by technicians when my vehicle was rear-ended and in for service. They said corrosion in the wiring (sorry, they didn't say where but my back-up lights didn't work either) was the culprit. Hope this helps.

Thanks for the reply... No luck with that. Anyone else have any ideas?

The alarm & relay control unit is used to control motion of the wiper.

Make sure the back glass is latching when close or the wipers will not turn on
