Hello Zoo fans!
While driving my 5 speed 1993 rodeo, whenI let off the gas there's a loud grinding gear sound, when I speed up theres the same sound. When I press the clutch the sound goes away, when I coast in neutral there is no sound.
Could someone give me a hint to what this could be, before I am forced to goto one of these high priced shops.

Since its a '93 and 5 speed I would say its an MAU5. Sounds like the throw out bearing for the clutch is bad. They are usually replaced along with the clutch and pressure plate. Might as well do it all at once while in there. I'm not positive that its the problem though without hearing it.
What happens when sitting still in neutral and pushing/letting off the clutch? Do you get the noise with the clutch out and stops with the clutch in?

Everyone,
Thanks for the input. The sound is made in all gears including 4th gear. I plan on checking out the clutch assembly during Labor day weekend.
Once again thanks, and I welcome anymore suggest about this problem.
