Coolant Sensor 2.2L
2.2l 4 cylinder Rodeo 2003. If you happen to have issues with ignition, idle, gas consumption, vehicle not firing up, then look no more!
a-check for the usual suspects: fuel delivery, gas filter, crank sensor, spark.
b- if everything above is ok, then this little bugger (coolant sensor) is the culprit
c- disconnect the sensor (located on the rear of the engine, and is not comfortable to work there) above the transmission case
d- the engine should response better and probably the fans will kick in
e- verify the temperature gauge for is right there and sometimes needs replacement!
f- replace coolant sensor (remember to drain the coolant before all this)
g- fill with coolant and burp the engine.
