Car jerked from 20-30 mph range
Hello,
I just figure I post here since the Honda passport forum is limited.
I recently bought a 1999 Honda passport AT with 105K miles. I had the local shop changed the timing belt, water pump, tensioner, and sepertine belt last week. Car drove well after a few days so i figure I better have him flush my transmission with filter, new gasket and transmission oil.
The car drove fine yesterday after the transmission service was done.
I drove the car this morning without warming up. Going into 20-30 mph (probably around 28), the car jerked from the bottom and felt like something was cutoff. It also jerked when I was slowing down into the 20-30 mph range. I thought the shop replaced the wrong oil but he reassured me it is the honda brand (shown me too).
Anyways, I was suspecting something with the fuel cutoff so I refill my gas tank to full and the problem went away. I have the infamous fuel gauge (something about the fuel sending unit malfunction) problem where the gas meter is not working most of the time. I had driven around 188 miles from a full tank when the problem occurred.
Just to see what other thinks.
Thanks,
Tony
