I've had my 99 rodeo 3.2L 4x2 Automatic for one year already and the transmission went out. It's just giving me reverse so I wanted to swap it for one with less miles instead (mine got 190k)of going with rebuilding it. I found one at the junk yard but its from a 2004 Rodeo. Will it work fine even though they are different years?

 

As long as the 4L30E from the 2004 doesn’t have a different neutral safety switch you should be able to use it.. I have a 99 Rodeo and I’m fighting transmission issues at the moment
