Alternators keep going bad
Was driving one day about a month ago and got the battery light and brake light on the dash followed by no interior lights and gauges not working etc. Popped the hood, was my main fuse blown.. Replaced and kept blowing the fuse after almost everytime I was starting the vehicle. So I replaced the alternator and bam fixed. Until last night, lost my lights and battery light and brake light came on like last time. Checked main fuse.. Was not blown. Alternator must not have been charging the battery because the battery is now dead. This is a new alternator barely a month old, what could be causing this? I am going to get a new one tuesday. But I am curious if this is a common problem with rodeos or? THis just seems crazy having to replace a new alternator. Btw it is a 1998 v6 4x4 if that means anything. Thanks
