99 Rodeo - Check Engine Light
I have a 99 Rodeo - Automatic V6 w/ approx 89k miles.
Lately my check engine light has come on. Just got a tranny flush which helped with the hard jerking I kept having at 2500 RPMs and now when I''m at a stop light I feel a slight shaking feel. I unplug the battery to reset the light and the light comes on about every 5 miles. Any advise or suggestions would be very helpful. Thank you!
Get the CEL codes read to see what is causing it. Autozone will read the codes for free. Without that its just a guessing game as to what it is.
Remember, just cuz a certain sensor is setting a code doesnt mean that sensor is bad, could be something else causing a bad reading from the sensor. But the codes are needed to know what to look for. For example, a cracked intake manifold gasket will set codes for o2 sensor, bank rich or lean, and random misfire.Edited by: Gizmo42
