98 rodeo clicking and oil questions
#1
OK... I very new to the rodeo scene. I bought the car as a commuter car. Stupid me i didn't check the oil regularly enough and it went low. Now there is a clicking. Lifters? that is my guess. heres where i start having questions. 1st, the dipstick looks weird to me... if someone could clarify where the right measure is on it that would be great. thanks. 2nd the clicking went away when i added more oil leading me to believe it was the lifters, however the engine clicked even louder with in minutes of driving with the newly added oil????? oh, and the oil light came on where it was on before the addition of oil. I'm confused... please help!!
Thanks in advance...

</>It most likely is the lifters. Is it a four cylinder? You may just have a clicker of an engine. Make sure that the lifter is cleaned of. It may just have some grime on it if the oil dryed on it or gunk of some sort. Just check it out and post what you find. I'm trying to help out...</>
