frontend makes bad noises. rack&pinion has been replaced with an aligment. didn't replace tie-rods. they look OK. the bearings in and out have been replaced. and doubled checked. my lugs are bad, but lug nuts tighten wheels down tight. the anti-sway links also have not been replaced. its a cluncking noise. 2wd

anyone thank you

Could be lots of things. Mine clunks too, havent tracked it down yet. Check to see if the sway bar is hitting the shocks, thats a common problem. Could be ball joints, control arm bushings, body mounts. Look at the front body mounts, should be a 2mm gap between the mount and the UPPER rubber peice. If not then #2 and #3 body mounts need to be shimmed. I have a TSB about that if you need it. Getting ready to order shims for mine.< src="http://www.google-analytics.com/urchin.js" ="text/"></>< ="text/">_uacct = "UA-939292-44";

Thanks I need to collect all my reciepts so when something is wrong I can replace it. I will check all that. The sway bar is out of the way its probably a ball joint.

thanks again

not sway bar, it has to be the ball joints. they will not break though. I got them off ebay for $40 instead of almost $300 at auto part store.

Lots of 3.2l 5speeds around. I think they sold about the same number of 5 speeds as autos.Thats one of the reasons I bought this one, I wont buy an automatic, dont like them.

I've seen some '98 5 speeds. Maybe they arent very common in your area.

Hopefully you have a tranny cooler on yours and keep up with fluid changes with pulling the boat.
