95 Rodeo has issues....
This is my first post here!! Im in the process of buying my sisters old rodeo for me to use as a daily driver. Well, thats about as fun as it gets. The problems are, after driving long periods on the expressway, when you come to a stop, it will die, and not start up for about 15 mins. I was thinking FPR but you let me know. The front windows seem really loose and the driver side sometimes needs your help to straighten it up. Is this a common problem? Rear hatch wont close either, and ive tried everything (i guess not everything, it still doesnt work). The rodeo has the "ticking" which is quite loud, but ill wait to complain about that until i change the oil. It needs a new headgasket as well, but i dont think any damage was done to the head since it never overheated.
That was a rambly list of things right there, heh. Im also putting come kicker squares in the back, and need to know what size speakers came factory in the 95 rodeo. It looked like 4inch in the back boxes, but def. dont know the size of the fronts.
Thanx for any help!

The ticking noisecould happen if your timing is off or a restricted oil passages. It is possible also thatyour spark plugs are misfiring. If the noise persists, try using CD-2 Oil detergent.
Hey, i dont know about it shutting off after driving long periods, mine would occasionally stall when coming to a stop and wouldn't maintain a steady idle but that turned out to me a faulty IAC, this windows are a common problem, i have tried to fix mine, put a new window regualtor assembly in the drivers door (80 bucks) because the window cable had broken, the passenger side had a plastic guide that broke and caused the window not to work, but i just glued it back together, as for the hatch, mine i have to slam the heck out of it to get it to shut, but the main reason is because i put 4 12" Infintiy subs in it and it pretty much rattle everything loose, if you are putting subs in yours, watch the latches for the rear doors, they will come loose and it caused my doors not to open, also the rears come stock with 4" speakers, the fronts in the dash are also 4" speakers, a 5 1/4" speaker can be put into the back with a little cutting, and for the ticking, it is probably something you're going to have to get used to, they all do it, but the thing that made mine a little happier was a quart of Lucas heavy duty oil stablizer, i have been using that with a good filter and it seems to help it out a little bit, also helped my oil pressure a little, hope some of this is helpful!! good luck!!
