95 isuzu rodeo. Missing and choking
Hi I'm an original owner of a 95 isuzu rodeo. It has 198000 miles on it. Currently my engine is missing and choking almost to the point of stalling but not quite. It started when pulling a hill and has progressed to anytime and almost every day. Beginning of the day it runs fine by the end of the day it barely makes it home. Had it in shop 3 times can't find the problem. Had fuel pump, timing chain assembly , alternator all changed in the last yr. Check engine light is on when pulling hill or acellarating but off on the coast. That has been on for yrs. And doesn't nessisarily have to do with this issue. Any help with this issue will be GREATly appreciated.
Thanks lgm

It might be an ECU problem. The Check Engine Light should not go on and off while driving. AFAIK, once it goes on it either has to be reset manually or driven long enough after the fault goes away to be cleared from the memory. (After a loose gas cap is tightened, for example.)
A bad ground connection can cause problems that change with engine temperature (as the contact area expands and contracts.)
Good luck. you're going to need it
