Default 92 fuel pump

I acquired a 92 Isuzu rodeo a few years ago. It runs perfectly in the winter but fuel pump fails in summer. A local mechanic and I rebuilt the carb and injections ports. Even bought a new fuel pump, without sending unit still did not fix the problem. It seems to vapor lock when the engine gets warm and then shuts off. I can get from point A to B just fine. But I have to wait about an hour or longer to leave B.
What we found out is that when this happens no fuel is getting to the injectors. I am looking for a viable option of replacing the fuel pump and sending unit that doesn't cost 200. Anybody have any ideas1992 Isuzu rodeo, 3.1 V6 4x4.
Thanks for any input.

I've had the exact same Rodeo for a few years. I just started having fuel issues and it ended up being the electronic ignition pulse generator/ ignition control module.
