92 fuel pump
I acquired a 92 Isuzu rodeo a few years ago. It runs perfectly in the winter but fuel pump fails in summer. A local mechanic and I rebuilt the carb and injections ports. Even bought a new fuel pump, without sending unit still did not fix the problem. It seems to vapor lock when the engine gets warm and then shuts off. I can get from point A to B just fine. But I have to wait about an hour or longer to leave B.
What we found out is that when this happens no fuel is getting to the injectors. I am looking for a viable option of replacing the fuel pump and sending unit that doesn't cost 200. Anybody have any ideas1992 Isuzu rodeo, 3.1 V6 4x4. Thanks for any input. |
I've had the exact same Rodeo for a few years. I just started having fuel issues and it ended up being the electronic ignition pulse generator/ ignition control module.
