89 rodeo issues please help
Hi all
i have a 1989 holden rodeo 2.6 4ZE1 motor.
it starts and idiles fine but when driving out on road
when it gets between 2000-3000 rpm the motor shuts down then straight away comes back to life this repeats itself untile you stop then it just idiles fine like nothing is wrong
is it a sensor anyone else had this problem?
thanx in advance from merrik

sounds like ur cam or crank senser may be dying cant keep up a signal with rpm i think ther is a way to check them but im not sure how with out my manual but the sensers arent to exspensive id just replace them
well it showes in the manual that it is near the driver side moter mount. als says to use a volt meter and the reading should be 2.5 volts while engine is cranking . also i would check ur throttle position sesor *** that one may cause the problem too its on side of throttle body
