2002 Rodeo 72k idles rough
We have a 2002 Rodeo only 72k miles and all of a sudden it stalls, sometimes it will idle rough and then stall. It always starts back up. We just had the plugs changed(V-6) at $19 a plug + Labor and its still doing the same thing. When you slow down to stop it will just die!Any ideas? thelubenews@aol.com
Same thing here... 2001 V6... 100,000 kms.
I have the identical problem that just started this morning. I live in a cold climate and we just finished a deep cold snap followed by a significant warming trend (warm meaning just a shade over freezing).
I''''ve done nothing to this point so anything offered would be appreciated. Just as a note, my local chev dealer scoped out my engine light recently and found my Rodeo to be running lean due to a minor air leak in the intake.
I''''m going to fire in a bottle of fuel injector cleaner and a fresh tank of gas tomorrow... and I''''ll definitely keep my eyes on this post.
Good luck lubeguy!Edited by: pgrodeo
Guess what? Problem Resolved No more Stalling and it runs like a champ! Intake gasket! 6 Plugs, diagnostic, gasket, & labor.....$418. They said I got a deal.....It runs so smooth I wanted to call the guy back and thank him. Rich, The LUBE Guy
Will do... missed your post in time but I have a follow up on Tues to locate a buzz/rattle at 2600rpm I didn''t have before.
I''m idling better and my bloody check engine light is finally off... but I still get a good drop to about 500 rpm when I pull up to a stop before it normalizes to 800 or so.
Noooot quite sure if they got all of my problem licked.
Thanks for the heads up Johnnylb...
