1998 rodeo fuel gauge not working

working on a 98 Isuzu rodeo . fuel gauge not working. new pump and sending unit in tank. IF you jump your two wires coming from sending unit the gauge will go up to 3/4 full then low fuel light stats flashing and gauge drops to empty. Have tried another dash cluster from correct vehicle. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I'm having this same issue. First tried a cheapo Amazon sending unit, and now a Delphi. Same issue! Anyone figure this out?

This seems to be a common issue , mine stays on full and never moves . I changed my pump too with no luck. I read there’s a dealer update with a pcm update ., which I have no idea who could do . Anybody have a fix ?
