1997 Rodeo Stalls out at high speed?
I have a 97 rodeo - Automatic that has stalled out at 30 MPH and 50 MPH. Symtoms, driver display panel lights up all lights, engine shuts off completely, just like turning off the ignition key. Then it can restart immediately. No DTC codes. Checked the IAC - very dirty and cleaned it.
EGR looks pretty dirty and will check this weekend. Any ideas what might
cause this? Thanks, -J

Ensure the battery cables are clean and most importantly tight. Battery should be good and secured.
Check all fuse panels for any melting, you'll smell it when sniffing around.
If it's from the salt-belt regions, especially check and clean the various ground contacts.
If all that checks out, then consider swapping out the ECM for a known good one.
Sounds safe to assume the ignition switch is okay....
