Hey Guys, Has anyone out there had valve clatter in their 4 cyl. engines while under a load, like going up hills for example. Noise seems to be erratic at times. my thoughts are maybe worn valve springs or something in the valve train. My engine has 80,000 miles on it.let me know if you can offer some advice. change plugs......use higher octane gas...change air filter.......i do not know if you can step timing done any on electronic ignition????

 

my 98 with the v-6says the valve lash needs re adjusted at 60k miles. if thats any help
