Hello I have a 1992 Isuzu Rodeo 4x4 with a manual transmission. It locked up while driving. I took off the rear drive shaft and tried driving it again. It locks up when in 4H and 2H and doesn't drive at all. It does drive forward and reverse if I put it in 4L. But it feels weird when it's in 4L it kinda grabs and then drives. Any idea what is wrong with it. Thanks

 

Is it possible for it to be stuck in 4wd and and the front is messed up? maybe i'll try talking off the front drive shaft???

 

maybe someone will have some info on this at some point? i took off the front drive shaft so now both drive shafts are off. it still feels like the brakes are on when in 4h and 2h. the clutch engages and feels pretty strong but nothing moves at all it just strains. In 4L (not sure of the terminology) the front adapter that attaches to the front drive shaft spins. so i'm thinking the clutch is good but something is stuck or broken after the engine and before the drive shafts. i guess i'll just keep trying to take stuff off until something moves!?
