I have a 2004 Rodeo with 10k miles on it.I took it to Super Lube to have the oil changed at 5k and the technician told me there was no oil on the dip stick.I was really shocked but decided maybe the factory didn't put enough oil in it when manufactured. Well the other morning I cranked it up and I heard a rattling noise and then finally it smoothed out. I decided to check the oil and it was empty again. Well it's not leaking so the oil is going somewhere. I took it to the dealer and waiting to see if it needs a new motor.

Has anyone else had a problem like this???

have you read the troopers' problem? same thing. i think all 3.2 isuzu's drink oil. you will have to live with it. either go to heavier oil like suggested by another or have them put more oil into the pan.

the other options are too costly.
