Mywife's check engine light came on today on the way home from work. Solid, not flashing.


Went to the Auto Zone and got a code of P1404.


Any help would be great!!

looks like I answered my own question...stuck EGR, right?


Now what do i do? Is this something I can do myself?


I am mechanically inclined...or is it worth the trip to the "SHOP"?

Egr valve and tubes probably just need to be cleaned. They might be plugged. More info in the FAQ...

well...the light went off after about 36 hours...


the only thing I did was put BP 93 octane gas in it...





what gives????
