I just got a 01 LZE Rodeo with auto trans. the problems is that in traffic with the trtans hot it has a hard time shiftting betwen 3rd and 4th gear resulting in hard shifts and once the trans light came on. After turning the car off it desapeard. Some times the trans takes to long to shift to 4th reving the engine like it was in N. Any suggestions??

 

How many miles on it?

My wife's 2001 V6 auto trans went out before 30,000 miles and they warranted it at the dealer.

They are a GM trans and they have had many troubles with them.

It is a PITA to change the trans fluid and filter but try that first.
