i am posting once again.


my 93 isuzu pickup has threw a rod.Well i went to a salvage yard and got a slightly used 2.6 from a rodeo.my old motor was a 2.3 carb.So i changed the oil pan,exauhst man,and fuel pump to elec and put the carbureted intake man on it.the original problem is the old motor was running rich and always puttered and ideled iraticly. well i am having the same problem with this motor.what are the symptoms of a bad carb???and does anyone know where i can get the right vacuum diagram and catyalist info?????? any help would be greatly appreciated......thank you all..............Nick B

i also have a problem with the battery light and the fuel light..... when i crank the truck the lights will stay on untill i rev up the motor.then go off.also i have noticed that when i turn the ignition over without starting the motor the lights on the dash clusterkind of fade in and out in a steady motion. is this all have to do with some wireing issue?or does the alternator controll more than i think?????

back again!!!


well i spent a few more houres on my truck and got some results.I found that my egr was filled with gunk.Icleaned it out and seems to run alot better.I found a vacc diagram close to the one i have in my truck and seems to me it performed a little better.But at an idel the motor still misses a fire. I have tryed the plug test but im positive they are all fine.so now im stuck on this issue.may i still be having carb problems?if anyone can help please do....jerry please!!!!!isuzuguru!!!!!!........oh yea the light problem was a short in the fuse box!!!

ok today i checked all fuses and discovered the problemwith my fading lights.... the fuse was carodded.. so replaced the fuse and lights are fine. no more fading. but i still have a problem when at an idel seems like i am missing fire. when the motor is at an idel it sputters maybee a vacuum is incorrect???? i dont know what to do now i think my carb is bad.....someone help i am almost there!!!!!~!!!!if anyone has any feed back please doo!!!!!!!!thank you Nick
