transmission problem please

transmission problem please
I have a question for all of you please.
I drove my Isuzu Rodeo 2001 from Toronto, Ontario,
Canada to Durham, North Carolina, US, with the Power
Drive indicator light ON (I did not realize it)
That car had transmission problem before (from a stop
state to get the first speed, it sounded like –example- a
gear missing a tooth) thus before the Canadian trip the
mechanic who sold me the car changed the transmission
liquid and filter and tuned up the car. Both ways
during the trip it had no problems because it was
highways all the time.
But now driving in the city it shows the same problem,
the same mechanic blamed me for the problem because
of the Power Drive indicator ON during the returning
driving trip.
I do not know if the mechanic is bul… me.
Could anyone put me on the problem rack please?
