Nowadays there are my genres of music that are quite popular, and rap and hip hop are one of the top ones. There reason why these genres are so popular among young people is because of their lyrics: these types of music are very direct, saying out straight things which many others don't have the courage to say. These lyrics are written by rappers who also need something else to create a song, namely the hip hop and rap beats. These beats are instrumental, simple but well mixed, with a good rhythm that serves as a great background for the lyrics.
